Sarah Claxton is a Chicago based Producer and Photo Editor. She first picked up a camera while teaching in Israel in 1998. Working in a community center, she was given the opportunity to produce a photo essay on the children of recent Ethiopian immigrants. Sarah fell in love with photography immediately.
Back in the States, Sarah enrolled at Brooks Institute and completed a BA in commercial advertising photography. Sarah then left California for New York and interned with acclaimed documentary photographer Mary Ellen Mark. Her internship was balanced with working for several studios in NY. She worked as a freelance photographer while honing her skills as a photo editor and producer for Feld Entertainment, USA WEEKEND Magazine and The International League of Conservation Photographers.
